Red Sox get Bedard from Mariners
Sunday the Red Sox went shopping on the trade deadline and landed with lefty Eric Bedard, from the Mariners. This year Bedard has been having a good year so far with a 4-7 record and a 3.45 ERA. Bedard is expected to start Thursday against the Indians. I think the Bedard move is great the Sox really needed another starting pitcher for their now 6 man rotation.

Lester back in rotation
Monday, Jon Lester returned to the Boston Red Sox rotation, from the 15 day DL with a left lat strain. Lester pitched great, working 5 1/3 innings, allowing one run on seven hits with two walks and six strikeouts. Lester ended up with a no-decision, as SS Marco Scutaro missed a squeeze sign, with Josh Reddick on 3ed base, Reddick was caught trying to come home because missed the sign to bunt.
Buchholz feeling better
Sox starter Clay Buchholz threw 30 pitches in a side session Monday, befor the first of a 3 game set against the Kansas City Royals. Buchholz said that he thought it felt better, but there There was still a little soreness. The reports saying that he wouldn't be able to throw until September worried me, but it is what is, and Andrew Miller has been pitching well, with and 4 and 1 record.
